At the Community Foundation of Howard County, we believe philanthropy is about more than charitable giving – it is about bringing people together to strengthen our community, respond to evolving needs, and create lasting impact.
Our 2025 CFHC Annual Report reflects a year of generosity, connection, and momentum across Howard County. Together with our donors, nonprofit partners, volunteers, fundholders, professional advisors, and community leaders, we continued to invest in the people and organizations that help our community thrive.
In 2025, the Community Foundation stewarded more than $37 million in charitable assets, awarded over $2.1 million in grants and scholarships, and facilitated more than 433 grants and scholarship awards supporting nonprofits and educational opportunities throughout Howard County. More than 1,600 contributions from generous donors helped fuel this work and strengthen our collective impact. *Unaudited financial figures
This year also marked an important leadership transition as we celebrated the retirement of longtime President & CEO Beverly White-Seals and welcomed Melissa Curtin into the role. The Foundation remains deeply grateful for Beverly’s visionary leadership and enduring contributions to philanthropy in Howard County.
As we look ahead, the Community Foundation remains committed to connecting generosity with community need – today and for generations to come. From grantmaking and donor services to nonprofit support, community partnerships, and philanthropic leadership, we are proud to serve as a trusted convener and resource for our community.
This two-page Annual Report provides a snapshot of our 2025 impact and community engagement. We invite you to explore our grantmaking, financial stewardship, Board and staff leadership, funds, events, and the many ways to give, connect, and engage in building a stronger Howard County.
