The Community Foundation of Howard County’s Annual Dinner & Celebration of Philanthropy will take place on Tuesday, December 9. Please join us as we gather for a joyous evening of food, fellowship and philanthropy. The event will be held in the Cameo Ballroom at Turf Valley Resort and is likely to sell out. We recommend you purchase tickets early.
The evening starts with a delightful cocktail reception at 6 p.m., followed by a delicious plated dinner and program highlighted by the presentation of the Foundation’s Philanthropist of the Year. Tickets are on sale now.
The Foundation will recognize Thomas Clement and Wonsook Kim as Individual Philanthropists of the Year, and Davis, Agnor, Rapaport & Skalny, LLC (DARS) as the 2025 Corporate Philanthropist of the Year. These honorees exemplify the transformative power of generosity, service and leadership in strengthening the Howard County community.
“We are thrilled to honor Thomas and Wonsook, along with the team at DARS, for all they have done and continue to do for our community,” said Melissa Curtin, CFHoCo president & CEO. “We are very fortunate to have such visionary and generous philanthropic leaders in Howard County, and we look forward to celebrating them along with the important work of nonprofits at our Annual Dinner & Celebration of Philanthropy on December 9.”
The Annual Dinner & Celebration of Philanthropy is also an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the terrific work of donors, nonprofits and volunteers. The foundation will present the Leadership Council Award to an up-and-coming nonprofit leader, the Casey & Pebble Willis “Making a Difference” Award, spotlighting a nonprofit doing great work in our community, along with the Jean Moon Legacy Builder Award and the Amanda and Jill Dean Direct Support Professional Award.
Please consider a sponsorship to support the Foundation with its strategic mission to connect people to worthy causes across Howard County and to celebrate generosity in our community. A sponsorship gives your business valuable exposure and visibility to an active, desirable demographic of movers and shakers across Howard County, while showing your support of local nonprofits. All sponsorships include tickets to the dinner, and a portion of your sponsorship is a tax-deductible donation to the Foundation. For sponsorship questions, please contact Dan Flynn at dflynn@cfhoco.org.
The Annual Dinner & Celebration of Philanthropy has sold out the past two years. We encourage you to reserve your tickets now during the early registration period. Tickets are available today for $125. On November 15, the ticket price will increase to $150 per person. The registration deadline for the event is December 1.
When you purchase your ticket, please select one of the two entrée choices. Guests have the option of the roasted chicken entree or the vegetarian entree.
