As we welcome a new year in Howard County, I am filled with gratitude for the generosity, compassion, and community spirit that continue to define our donors, partners, and neighbors.
Last year, we witnessed countless examples of what happens when people come together to care for one another – from supporting vital nonprofit services, to strengthening community partnerships, to investing in programs that expand opportunity and improve quality of life across our county.
Each act of giving, large or small, helped strengthen the heart of philanthropy in Howard County, and we are deeply thankful.
The Community Foundation of Howard County enters this new year with renewed purpose and momentum. Guided by our mission to inspire lifelong giving and connect people, places, and organizations to worthy causes, we will continue to invest in the areas that shape a thriving community – including housing stability, health and well-being, education, equity, the arts, aging, and support for our most vulnerable neighbors.
Our work is powered by generous donors, forward-thinking partners, and nonprofit leaders who are creating meaningful impact every day, and we are honored to walk alongside them.
In the months ahead, we look forward to deepening our grantmaking, expanding donor engagement, lifting up nonprofit excellence, and strengthening collaboration across sectors. We will continue to tell the stories of the people and organizations who make Howard County stronger, because philanthropy is ultimately about connection, compassion, and our shared commitment to caring for one another. Together, we will build on the progress of the past year while embracing new opportunities to serve and support our community.
Thank you for being part of this important work – as donors, partners, volunteers, leaders, neighbors, and friends.
Your generosity fuels possibility, opportunity, and hope for Howard County. We look forward to a meaningful and inspiring year ahead.
