When people first hear about a donor-advised fund, they often think of it as a giving account: contribute assets, receive an immediate tax deduction if eligible, and recommend grants to your favorite nonprofits over time.
While that’s certainly true, I’ve found that many donors are surprised to learn just how flexible a donor-advised fund can be – especially when it’s established at the Community Foundation of Howard County.
