The Community Foundation of Howard County celebrated and showcased its spectacular new home – the Apple Ford Center at Athol Manor – with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 4, 2021. Highlights from the sunny and warm October afternoon included a proclamation from Howard County Executive Calvin Ball, guided tours of the renovated and restored property and a champagne toast to the many people and organizations that helped make this a reality for the foundation.
Due to COVID concerns, the guest list consisted of members of its Board of Trustees, donors to the Next 50 Campaign, elected officials and key people behind the scenes on the project. The foundation intends to host a big open house celebration in the spring that is open to the entire community.
