A Celebration of Legacy at CFHC

This week, the Community Foundation of Howard County was honored to welcome members of our Howard Legacy Society to Athol Manor for a special luncheon celebrating their generosity, vision, and lasting commitment to our community.

The Howard Legacy Society recognizes individuals and families who have included the Community Foundation of Howard County in their estate plans, ensuring that the causes and organizations they care about today can continue to benefit from their generosity for generations to come.

For some of our guests, that commitment goes back decades. It was wonderful to bring together longtime Legacy Society members and newer members to celebrate the many ways each has chosen to make Howard County part of their legacy.

Legacy giving is deeply personal. Some donors choose to support a particular nonprofit or cause that has been meaningful throughout their lives. Others create endowed funds or give CFHC the flexibility to respond to the changing needs of our community over time. What they share is a belief in the future of Howard County and the power of philanthropy to make a lasting difference.

We are deeply grateful to all of our Howard Legacy Society members:

A planned gift does not have to be complicated, and there are many ways to create a legacy that reflects your values, interests, and philanthropic goals. Whether you are considering including CFHC in your will or estate plan, naming the Foundation as a beneficiary, or exploring another planned giving option, we would be happy to start the conversation.
