The Community Foundation of Howard County has announced the timeline for its 2025 scholarships. Students are encouraged to apply beginning Friday, February 14 for the dozens of financial awards. Most of the scholarships are to designed to support graduating Howard County high school seniors (in this year’s class of 2025) as they continue their academic careers at eligible two- or four-year institutions. Interested candidates should do a thorough review of all the opportunities available.
The deadline for applications is Monday, March 31.
Last year the Foundation awarded 35 scholarships to 32 impressive Howard County graduating high school seniors. The $57,000 in awards come after a thorough review process of applications and recommendations from the scholarship committees. These exceptional representatives of the Class of 2024 were selected for their outstanding academic achievement, dedication to community service, and participation in a wide range of extracurricular activities. The Foundation’s scholarship program has expanded over the years as more Howard County residents have established new endowed, permanent legacies for beloved family or friends. Most of the individual scholarships are named in tribute of a loved one to help carry on that individual’s legacy and memory forever.
