Community Foundation of Howard County grants $288,000 to nonprofits

The Community Foundation of Howard County, which raises, manages and distributes funds to support nonprofit organizations, gave $288,000 in grants to 44 nonprofits in Howard County. Grants come from the foundation’s community grants program, which combines operational and project requests into one funding cycle.

“Howard County has a wide range of needs, from student mentoring to health education, but we also have a diverse army of nonprofits that work tirelessly and effectively to meet those needs,” said Beverly White-Seals, president and CEO of the Community Foundation of Howard County. “That’s where we step in, to help fund these groups that do so much for Howard County.”
